We raced Millville (New Jersey Motorsports Park) August 20. The SCCA ran a very well originized race as usual.
The Brodix engine ran just OK, not getting off the corners very good.
I am sending the ECM back to Accell this week for a full check-out on their test bench.
The new carbon/carbon brakes worked very, very good when hot and not bad when cold. The weight of these units is about 1/4 that of iron (rotor 3 lbs.)
Carbon Ind. Rotors and Pads. Calipers are Wilwood D154 Dual Piston Floater
We checked the rotor temperature a couple of times with heat paint, looks like about 1,300 deg. F max. The normal range for carbon is 600 to 1,800 deg F.
The brakes were a lot of work to install, as you can see from the photos below.

We went to Watkins Glenn July 23. The Brodix engine ran very good, very powerful.
We used our tire warmers again, worked very good. It's nice to go on the track with hot tires, the car is ready to go from the start.
We use Chicken Hawk warmers and recommend them. A word of caution, if you have wide tires you will use more than the advertised wattage.
Before my race I had only 6 laps on the track in my qualifier and qualified 14th, next to last.
I finished 8th in the feature race, not bad for my first race back from seemingly endless problems.
We are working hard to fit the carbon brakes, Carbon Ind. mounted on bobbins, to the car for the next race, New Jersey Motorsports Park.

We went to Summet Point June 11. The Brodix engine ran very good, very powerful.
At last our water temp. is under control, ~180 deg F and this was on a quite hot day.
Qualified 4th, Ran only one lap in the feature and broke the RH stub axle.
We have to make new axles in our shop (photo below). The company that made the ones we have been using is no longer in business.

We went to New Jersey Motorsports Park (Millville) Wednesday to test.
Spent the day setting up the new front wing, engine rev limiter, radios.
The Brodix engine has tremendous power on the straights. However, not working well from closed throttle to partial throttle off the corners.
This is serious problem on a tight course where part throttle is needed. I will be calling Accell today for help.

We have not raced this year, going to try to get out later this month.
Have repaired the nose and built a new wing for the front.
I bought two carbon wings from an e-bay seller, and re-worked them, at a good price. Making them myself would take too long.

Note drilled rotors, these worked very good except they will crack around the holes. The un-drilled rotors are very ridged and when hot tend to warp and cause the brake pedal to pulse. This would most likely not be the case if the rotors were mounted on bobbins. -- 2011

R2C is a very good company, helpfull and very good products.
I have moved a bunch or stuff for this year and expanded the Website Page Index, hopefully to make the main page less cluttered.
Brodix has some great Engine parts. The SBC Block can be fitted with 4.180" Bore, 4.250" Stroke (467 cu. in)
We are being conservative with 4.125" bore and 4.000" Stroke (427 cu. in.). The World of Outlaws teams that use these engines are getting about 800 HP with a 4 bbl carb. The simulator we use indicates that with the EFI about 850 HP.

Hank Dudley Racing is now Wearhouse Distributor (W/D) for Brodix products.
When I got finished with the order for the new engine/s I was close to qualifying for the W/D status,
so I went ahead and bought some extra part to qualify. Brodix is a very big supplier of heads and block for many types of race engines.
Their product line has something for everyone, street to full race. Their catalog is at: http://www.brodix.com/
We welcome the opportunity to quote any of these products. For quote please call Hank at 732-240-6895 NJ
